A very rare variety of a rare, highly sought-after bifoliate Brazilian species! Coerulea varieties of C. amethystoglossa are rarely seen for sale.

This variety features white to off-white, waxy flowers with blue-purple spotted petals and sepal, and a blue-purple lip. They are also sweetly fragrant!

Mature plants can feature 3 to 9 flowers per spike, they bloom from new growths in late winter and spring.

During active growth, water thoroughly, but let the media nearly dry between waterings. Plants will appreciate a very fast draining medium. Provide bright-indirect light and intermediate-warm temps (65-85F).
In winter, reduce watering and fertilizing.

These are seedlings established in 2" pots. They'll be blooming size in about 2-3 years.

*Note: C. amethystoglossa is a bifoliate Cattleya species that is susceptible to heat stress. This can manifest as dark markings on the underside of the leaves, which are generally understood to be benign cosmetic imperfections. It can mimic the appearance of mite or pest damage, but is not related. Our plants do not currently show evidence of heat stress but is helpful information!*
