Cattleya maxima f. coerulea 'Gigi' x ('Angelo' x 'Scott')

This specific cross features flowers that are a light lilac shade. The flowers are on the smaller side, but spikes tend to bloom with many flowers (5-6 typically), so multiple blooming spikes on this large plant will create a nice show!

The parents are coerulea varieties, but the flowers on this particular plant have bloomed more on the pink side, which may be due to growing in hotter temperatures or due to being progeny in a seedling batch that can result in a range of characteristics. 

C. maxima grows in a range of elevations, interestingly the plants growing in lowland areas have significantly taller pseudobulbs than their highland counterparts. These are a lowland variety and are tall plants (>24" tall).

Plant is a mature blooming size plant in a 6" pot. In bloom now and nicely fragrant!
