Cattleya maxima semi-alba 'Monolo' AM/AOS x self

Cattleya maxima is a cherished species in orchid collections the world over! This distinctive selfing will produce plants that are pure white with purple striations and of course the distinct yellow stripe in the lip. 

C. maxima grows in a range of elevations - interestingly, the plants growing in lowland areas have significantly taller pseudobulbs than their highland counterparts. These are a highland variety so the bulbs are shorter.

Provide warm temps and bright light, avoiding direct sun. Water regularly in spring and summer allowing media to dry lightly between waterings.
