Dendrobium heterocarpum

A deciduous Nobile-type Dendrobium from subtropical Asia featuring pendulous canes that bloom with light yellow to off-white, fragrant flowers. The flowers are described to smell like honeysuckle!

Grow these as you would other Nobile-type dens; they need a drier, cooler rest in the winter months with watering reduced and fertilizer stopped. These are deciduous and will drop their leaves in the fall through winter - blooms appear on bare canes in mid-spring. Increase watering again when new growths start (typically around the same time as blooming) and water heavily during active growth.

Plants are blooming size in 2" pots.
