Dendrobium Judith Nakayama
Dendrobium Judith Nakayama
This Formosum (or Hirsute) type Dendrobium is a sturdy plant with tall canes that are covered in tiny black hairs (characteristic of this section of Dendrobiums!).
The flowers are waxy, heavy substance blooms that are white with an orange lip, which are also long lasting. A very hardy grower that tends to be an easy grower for beginners.
Give lots of water in the growing season, avoiding letting the media dry completely. In the fall and winter, reduce watering and stop fertilizing - let the media dry between watering during this time.
Sometimes plants act deciduously and can drop leaves during fall and winter, or in some cases when the plants are stressed (often leaf drop occurs after shipping).
These are growing bare root (no media) in 3" hanging baskets and are blooming size.
