Dendrobium smillieae 'H&R Giant' x 'Lea'
These Dendrobium are also known as the 'Bottle Brush Orchid', named for their distinct cluster of flowers that resemble a brush.
Plants are robust and easy growers. They are deciduous (nobile type Dendrobium) that drop their leaves in fall/winter and then blooms from bare canes in the spring and summer. flowers can last upwards of a month!
Canes can grow quite long and become pendulous, so they do very well mounted.
Keep in intermediate-warm conditions, give moderate light, and water well during active growth. See our 'Dendrobium Care Guide' under the Nobile section on our Care Guides tab for care tips.
Intermediate seedling plants (about 2 years to blooming) established in 2" pots.
