Encyclia rufa

This species is native to the Caribbean, specifically the Bahamas, Turks-Caicos, and Cuba. 

These plants stay compact but produce tall, straight inflorescences with multiple yellow flowers that are highly fragrant. Many describe the scent akin to jasmine flowers! 

Grow in bright-indirect light and in warm temps, water just when the media is dry. 

Blooming size plants are hard to come by and can be quite expensive (some sell for $100+ per plant).
Ours are seedlings and are a few years from blooming size. They are in 2" pots.
