Leptotes pohlitinocoi 'Pauwela'

Leptotes pohlitinocoi 'Pauwela'

Quantity

This species is in the Cattleya family and is native to the mountainous forests of Brazil, where it grows epiphytically in shaded conditions. It grows well with intermediate to warm temperatures (65-85F).

This species stays very compact and forms dense clumps of it's thick horn-shaped leaves. It blooms with pink and white, that droop downwards and don't open very far.

These plants are easy to grow and make great mounted terrarium plants if there is adequate air flow. Grow in pots with good drainage or on mounts for best results.

Give a bit less light than a standard Cattleya, but more than a phalaenopsis.

Blooming size in 2" pots.
