Maxillaria schunkeana

A beloved Maxillaria species from Brazil best known for its very dark, red-black flowers. 

Flowers are small (about the size of a dime) and emerge from new pseudobulbs on short spikes. They have a similar growth habit to the well-known Max. tenuifolia, and can be grown with the same culture (give bright light and warm temps, keep moist).

Blooming size plants in 2" pots.
