Maxillaria tenuifolia

Maxillaria tenuifolia is a classic collector orchid, we'd argue it's a must-have in every collection! It is extremely popular due to it's famous scent, which smells strongly of toasted coconut - it is often called the "coconut orchid" due to its smell. 

These are also very easy growing plants, and are very hard to over water - some growers have them in standing dishes of water because they take in so much water during active growth. We suggest to never let the roots dry completely and watch for shriveling of the pseudobulbs. Plants do best in bright light for good blooming.
