Paphinia Majestic

(Pna. herrerae var. alba 'Ghost Canary' x Pna. cristata 'Cardinals Roost')

A rare epiphyte with gorgeous, delicate flowers. Paphinia originate in South America, they are medium sized and compact growing, and bloom from pendulous spikes that usually form pendulously or can even develop down through the media (this makes them great for growing in baskets!).

They are notoriously sensitive to repotting, and should only be repotted when new roots are starting. 

Paphinia need consistent moisture at their roots - their care is very similar to many Coelogyne species. Grow in moss that is kept lightly moist and keep in shaded light and cool-intermediate temperatures. Plants also thrive in high humidity environments, but with gentle and constant air circulation. 

These are difficult growers and have garnered a reputation for being 'short lived' in cultivation - we recommend these for an experienced grower; these have the best chances of longevity in a greenhouse or large terrarium.
